Self Diagnose:

If you suspect that you might have a mole cricket problem simply do the following:  Take a bucket filled with water and some dish washing liquid. Go to a patch on your lawn and throw the water onto the grass. Be sure to throw a large amount in one spot. They live about 10 cm under the grass and the water should soak down to them. Keep a close eye on the patch and see if a mole cricket appears. Try this test on various patches of your lawn. If in doubt call Amazing lawns for a free lawn analysis and Quote.

Mole Crickets otherwise known as Gryllotalpidea is a root eating insect. They are about 3 - 5 cm long, with large eyes and shovel-like forelimbs highly developed for burrowing and swimming.

Mole crickets eat the roots of your grass and thus the grass start dying in patches on your lawn. Due to the fact that they spent most of their time underground it’s hard to spot them before hand. They breed rapidly and can destroy your lawn if proper action and treatment is not put in place.
